ABOUT THE EVENT

Join ICF NYC for this kickoff event in the space of Neurodiversity. Speaker, Maureen Hilton, a certified coach and expert trainer in the space, will help us establish a foundation for our understanding.

This training will empower you to be more inclusive, effective and compassionate when interacting with (potential) clients who demonstrate these neurodivergent traits.

Purpose:

To give life, executive, and internal coaches an understanding of what it means to be “neurodiversity informed” and offer expert-tested methods to connect and better serve neurodivergent clients.

  • Through this training, attendees will
  • Understand what neurodiversity means
  • Learn the benefits of neurodiversity training for coaches as the field of study is evolving
  • Recognize how neurodivergent traits may show up anytime in a coaching relationship
  • Increase confidence in interacting with (potential) clients who demonstrate these traits
  • Gain additional tools to get more from coaching neurodivergent clients

MEET OUR PRESENTER

Maureen Hilton-Sokoloff

Maureen Hilton-Sokoloff is the Founder of Maureen Hilton Strategies, a Neurodiversity Training and Career Coaching practice. Coach Maureen partners to share her Neurodiversity and Autism areas of expertise with a variety of populations: employers, academic institutions, organizations, and her cherished affiliation with the esteemed International Coaching

Federation (ICF).

Her experience and educational high points:

15+ years of Neurodiversity and Autism education and experience

20+ years of higher education experience at Harvard University’s Career Services, Human Resources, Recruiting, and Disability Services

25+ years of education in her most cherished fields of study: Positive Psychology, neuroscience, yoga/meditation/mindfulness, stress-reduction, trauma-informed, and Science of Coaching Psychology

Coach Maureen has presented her Neurodiversity 101 and Autism 101 trainings to ICF Chapters, events, workshops, and is a current member of the ICF Global Coaching Education

Advisory DEIJB Committee, offering her Neurodiversity and Autism areas of expertise.

Coach Maureen’s unique training approach empowers all attendees with Neurodiversity and/or Autism awareness, appreciation, championing, and strategies to apply in any area within one’s personal and professional life. This is especially the case for ALL coaches from any field, “niche,” and population served.

Most of all, Coach Maureen welcomes any opportunity to raise Neurodiversity awareness, appreciation, and championing because one of her core beliefs is this knowledge empowers

each person with more effective communication skills and compassion with EVERY human interaction, personal and professional.

MEET OUR MODERATOR

Minal Kamlani (ACC, TICC, BS Business) is a mindful growth coach specializing in transformational coaching and inclusive leadership. As an ICF NYC Professional Development Committee member, she focuses on trauma-informed coaching and DEIJB initiatives. Minal’s background as a woman of color in the LGBTQ+ community, comprehensive coach training, and empathetic approach provide an emotionally safe space for individuals facing trauma in their relationships, workplaces, and communities.
