Bio: Jen Schenkel is a certified Executive Coach and facilitator with more than a decade of experience coaching leaders in the nonprofit, tech and media sectors.
Jen coaches individual clients both privately and within organizations to maximize their impact as leaders, envision and realize career growth, and play to their strengths. She has coached leaders at all levels and in many parts of the world, with a particular emphasis on managers of people, high-potential performers and senior leaders. Current clients come from companies including: Etsy, Betterment, The New York Times, Wine Enthusiast Media and ActBlue.
Jen is proud to have helped launch the parental coaching program at Etsy in 2016, and at Betterment in 2018. Jen’s parent coaching focuses on navigating the return to work; recognizing and integrating identity shifts; finding the right balance of life and work; and self-care.
When she’s not coaching, Jen can be found facilitating cross-company or community of practice conversations that build relationships and shared understanding. She’s also lead many a team offsite and created and delivered leadership and management workshops on topics including coaching skills, self-advocacy, and difficult conversations. And when she’s not working, she’s probably doing yoga, completing a jigsaw or crossword puzzle, or hunkering down in deep conversation with friends or family over homemade food.
Prior to launching Jen Schenkel Coaching in 2011, Jen spent 5 years as a nonprofit consultant and 15 years in progressively senior roles in the NYC nonprofit sector.
