Officers & Executive Committee

Julien Lefort, PCC
President’s Message
I am honored to serve on the board of ICF New York City, and grateful to be part of a community that consistently reminds me what coaching can do when it’s practiced with heart, rigor, and a real commitment to people.
My path into coaching has been shaped by a long-standing focus on diversity of people, perspectives, cultures, and lived experiences.
Over time, I’ve learned that diversity is a source of strength that changes what’s possible when we truly listen, stay curious, and make space for one another.
That belief is one of the reasons this chapter feels like home to me, a place where professionals come together not just to grow their practice, but to elevate the impact of coaching in workplaces, communities, and lives.
Our chapter is powered by YOU, its members. Everything we do—events, learning experiences, partnerships, and volunteer initiatives—should make it easier for you to develop, connect, and thrive.
My commitment is to keep our chapter member-focused by creating more opportunities for meaningful connection, by supporting coaches across career stages, and bylistening closely to what you need, and translating that into action.
And to our volunteers: thank you. Your generosity of time, talent, and care is what turns a chapter into a community.
One of the things I value most about ICF is our professionalism, our ethics, our standards, and our dedication to continuous development.
Coaching is both an art and a science. It’s the art of presence, relationship, and deep listening. It’s also the science of evidence-informed practice, skill development, and disciplined reflection.
As a chapter, we will continue to champion coaching excellence through conversations and spaces where we can sharpen our craft while staying grounded in what makes coaching human.
As we look ahead to 2026, my vision is for a chapter that is even:
- More connected: stronger relationships across members, communities, and partners
- More innovative: experimenting with new formats, fresh ideas, and modern ways to learn and engage
- More creative: making room for inspiration, imagination, and the joy that fuels great coaching
- More impactful: amplifying the value of coaching in organizations and in the wider community
This is also a vision for how we work as a board: collaborative, transparent, and service-oriented—focused on what truly benefits our members and advances our mission.
I believe the best communities are co-created. If you have ideas, hopes, or even constructive challenges for us – share them. If you’ve been thinking about volunteering, I encourage you to raise your hand. There is a place for you here, and your contribution matters.
Thank you for being part of ICF NYC. I’m excited for what we’ll create together in the coming year—and for the momentum we’ll carry into 2026.
