Carolyn K. Carlson

Carolyn Carlson co-founded Stanger Carlson in 2013 to help senior business leaders and their organizations become more successful.  Decades of experience working in senior roles at PwC, IBM and with clients has taught her what makes leaders and their strategies win in the marketplace.  Carolyn’s executive coaching is focused on professional and personal development with particular emphasis on helping senior and director-level executives become thoughtful people leaders who exhibit self-awareness, emotional intelligence and a strong executive presence.  Carolyn has coached a broad range of executives in service and technology industries, including professional services.  Her own background in engineering and her business and coaching experience make her an ideal fit for working with leaders in industries such as accounting, architecture, construction, consulting, engineering and information technology.

Carolyn has had a distinguished professional career as a senior business leader, consultant and executive coach. She was a consulting Partner at PwC and a senior executive in IBM’s Global Services Human Capital Consulting business. Carolyn led IBM’s Strategy & Consulting practice for the America’s. Prior to this role, Carolyn managed a segment of IBM’s Human Capital Management practice.

She has been a speaker for the Human Capital Institute and a contributor to IBM’s 2010 & 2008 Global Human Capital Studies — “Working Beyond Boarders” and “Unlocking the DNA of the Adaptable Workforce”. She facilitates StangerCarlson’s Executive Connection Forum and is the voice of the firm’s Talent Minute screencast series. She serves on International Coach Federation’s NYC Chapter Board.

Carolyn earned her B.S. Industrial Engineering from Bradley University and is a graduate of Columbia University’s Executive Coaching Certification Program.  She is trained in Gestalt OSD and certified practitioner in Bizet Activity Vector Analysis, Four Groups 4G, and Neethling Brain Instrument.

Susan O’Sullivan

Her workshops based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, encourage participants to examine the thoughts, emotions and behaviors that hold us back and identify new choices that move us toward more authentic living.

Prior to becoming a Coach, Susan spent over 30 years in the publishing, entertainment and non-profit sectors as a marketing and communications executive where she developed successful integrated marketing and communication strategies and programs. Susan holds a B.A. in Sociology from Syracuse University, and received her coaching certification through New York University. She is also a Certified Therapy Dog Handler, where she and her dog Bertha bring smiles and a few licks to the sick, elderly and anyone who may need one.

Joy Passey

JoyPasseyHS-300x300Joy Passey is an Entrepreneur and Transformation Coach, and on the Board of Directors for ICF-NYC chapter.

She grew up as a performing artist in a suburb of Seattle, WA. She was a Dance major at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA. After two years of college, she quit college to pursue ‘real life’. She hit the ground running when she moved to New York City over twenty years ago.  She has worn many ‘hats’ in a variety of different types of businesses, which has made her uniquely well-rounded as a creative artist and a business woman.

Immediately arriving in NYC, she co-founded a non-profit theater company, Performers At Work Theatre Company, Inc. The company developed new plays that were by, for or about women.  As Managing Director and member of the company, she acted, produced, stage managed, fundraised, marketed and wrote grants. She has produced shows with Women In Music, Inc  such as Disco Divas with Gloria Gaynor and Sisters of the Sixties with Vicki Sue Robinson. She also assisted recording sessons at Westrax recording studio, and stage managed the pop-gospel group, The Jenny Burton Experience.  Currently, she performs as an improviser with HAXO, an organic improv team.  On top of performing, Joy also writes children’s stories, is a ceramist, and hatmaker!

Outside of theater, Joy has worked in a number of different types of companies such as a small, husband and wife t-shirt company doing trade shows; a legal assistant with one of the largest law firms in the world; salesperson in a family-owned high-end furniture store; and assistant manager at an athletic, membership company.

Joy is also a professional scuba diver, Dive Master, with Pan Aqua Diving. For over three years now, she has been a Diver on the Volunteer Dive Team at the New York Aquarium. Over the years, she has done volunteer work on a suicide hotline for nearly 8 years; American Red Cross as a Disaster Action Team Member; and at the American Museum of Natural History as a Teaching Volunteer in different halls and exhibits.

Joy has a B.A. in Creative Writing from Hunter College; Dean’s List, Summa Cum Laude. She has an M.A. in Educational Theater from New York University (NYU). She has three certificates from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT): Color Specialist, Wardrobe Technician/Costume Design, and Image Consulting. She is finishing a Millinery Certificate at FIT. Plus, she has nearly completed her Organizational Coaching Certificate from NYU! She is the Volunteer Coordinator for the International Coach Federation’s New York City chapter.

Jane Lauterback

Jane Lauterback is a Leadership Coach and an Executive Business Development Officer at The Purposeworks. She combines interlocking skillsets in coaching and facilitation, talent development and strategy development to empower dynamic leadership; guiding individuals, teams and organizations to define their purpose and put it to work.
Jane is currently completing a book, A Pulse on Leadership Today, based on a research study among +30 CEOs and other C-suite executives as well as hundreds of executives facing transitions on leading through purpose.
As an Internationally Certified Coach, she is a mentor for NYU’s Stern School and its Berkley Innovation Labs/Championship, as well as an Executive Coach for UNICEF in places such as Kenya, the DRC and Switzerland. As Director of the Brothers Fund, the first micro-lender geared to U.S. veterans, she assesses entrepreneurs for loans. Jane is certified as a coach/consultant in Hogan Behavioral Assessment Systems and received certifications from the Stanford School of Medicine’s Compassion Cultivation Training, and Nalanda Institute’s Contemplative Science program. Robin Schletter

robinRobin Schletter is both an Executive and Career Coach. She develops a partnership with her clients through open and honest dialogue with an emphasis on results. Robin works with her clients to help them move from where they are to where they want to be, overcome persistent obstacles and performance challenges, and to identify what is critical and what will bring results.

Robin’s professional history, spanning 30 years, began with a focus on the design, development and implementation of training programs. At Home Box Office (HBO) she spearheaded the landmark affiliate training function that created the first nationwide system to improve sales and customer service for over 150,000 customer contact personnel. This work led her to focus on how management issues affect the performance of the front line and the bottom line.

Her non-profit work began with the Susan G. Koman Foundation. This affiliation resulted in meaningful success as she worked with a team of professionals to create a new channel for funding to outlets supporting breast cancer care in underserved and underprivileged populations. She is the Past President of the Board of Dance to Unite, a non-profit organization in NYC committed to creating experiences for children to develop compassion, understanding and respect for all cultures in the hope of promoting future peace.

Robin is a graduate of Columbia University’s Advanced Executive Coaching Certification Program and a Certified Career Coach with The Five O’Clock Club. She is certified to administer both The Birkman Method and the NBI: Thinking Preferences Assessment. She holds a Certificate in Training and Development from New York University. Mary recently launched Mary Walsh, Leadership Development & Career Performance, and is the co-founder of The Energy Initiative, a coach-centric leadership development training company. In addition, Mary is the Director of Talent Management at 1010data, a New York City based software company. Prior, she was the Vice President of Talent Acquisition, North America for Markit, an international financial information services firm. Her previous roles include C-level executive search engagements at Korn Ferry and Heidrick & Struggles, as well as several boutique search firms focused on serving venture backed and private equity firms and their portfolio companies.

Mary is a graduate of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is an ACC Accredited Coach through the International Coach Federation and serves on the Board of the NYC Chapter with a focus on Professional Development. She is also a Member of The Institute of Coaching Professional Association at McLean Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School.
