Event Topic: Arc of the Who: Listening, Evoking, Facilitating Growth

In this experiential session, we’ll explore how the arc of three ICF Core Competencies—Listens Actively, Evokes Awareness, and Facilitates Client Growth—supports you in trusting the client, yourself, and the coaching process. This arc invites the coach to surrender to the moment and center on the WHO—the human in front of you—their identity, beliefs, emotions, and unique essence.In celebration of ICF’s International Coaching Week and ICF NYC’s theme, “NYC: Nurture Your Coaching,” this special session is designed to help you relax into the core competency arc to create more ease, flow, and confidence in your coaching.

Purpose:

Experience MCC coaches coaching real clients to develop your active listening skills and expand your fluency of coaching competencies.

Sophia Casey, MCC

Sophia Casey is a Master Certified Coach (MCC) credentialed by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She is the Founder and Chief Empowerment Officer (CEO) of the global coaching certification organization, ICLI RISING (International Coaching & Leadership Institute Rising). Additionally, she is the Founder and CEO of Sophia Casey Enterprises, a leadership development, executive coaching, and consulting firm. Some of her proudest moments are being named Director of First Impressions for a former Vice President of the United States, mentoring more than 600 coaches, serving as the Executive Life Coach and co-facilitator for a series of T.J. Maxx’s Maxx You Project career workshops, and being awarded Best Americas Coach in 2023. Maria Glenn, MCC, is an executive and team coach dedicated to helping professionals unlock their full potential. As founder of Assenter Coaching, she specializes in developing high-potential talent and transforming organizational culture by fostering authentic and conscious leaders. Assenter’s ICF-accredited Executive Coaching Certification (XCC) has a global reach, offering a business-focused coaching approach. Maria designs customized programs that enhance productivity and drive growth. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, travel, and staying active with her husband and adult children.

ICF NYC Recording Policy:
Event will NOT be recorded. This event is highly interactive and will NOT be recorded. As an attendee, you are expected to participate fully and support your colleagues in breakout rooms actively practicing the skills and providing feedback in support of growth. Please register only if you plan to attend and actively participate. Tickets are not refundable in accordance with our event policies.
Any form of recording NOT initiated by the host (including but not limited to video, audio, or chat recording, including transcription) is not permissible. The meeting host reserves the right to remove any participant (person or technology) that fails to comply with the policy. Accordingly, it is the responsibility of every participant to know what technologies (including zoom and browser plugins) that they have installed on their device and if they have the potential to violate this policy.
CCEU Issuance:
CCEUs will be sent within 7 – 10 business days to all attendees who participate in most of the event.
CCEU eligibility and issuance
In accordance with ICF guidance, in order to receive CCEUs for ICF NYC events, you must attend a minimum of 80% of the event whether virtual or in-person.
CCEU certificates are not awarded for attending less than the 80% threshold or for watching recordings.
