Cultivate and Activate Courage and Inner Awareness

Join us for a timely conversation about inner awareness and courage. Notice any assumptions you may have made when reading this event’s title. This work applies equally to both coach and client. By courageously cultivating and activating our own awareness, we empower another person(s) we engage with to do the same. This exploration supports those working one-on-one and one-to-many (groups and teams).

In this workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to witness and build your own inner coherence while exploring how updates to the ICF Code of Ethics and Core Competency Model, particularly competencies 2, 3, 5, and 7, support consistent embodiment of effective presence, courage, and creativity in any coaching partnership.

The session will include live demonstrations of micro-coaching by vanguard thinker, speaker, author, and MCC Janet M. Harvey. Volunteers will have the chance to experience and observe micro-skills associated with the new sub-competencies in action. If this interests you, know that we will have time to work with four people, and those will be selected on a first come, first fulfilled basis.

Purpose:
Cultivate and activate your courage and inner awareness to evoke the same in your client.

Objectives:

• Integrate the core organizing principle of coaching that supports you to be fully client-centered in your presence, partnering and perceiving.
• Discover and tap into your personal well of courage and learn that it is enough.
• Understand and translate the expectations for coaches that have evolved with the release of the April 2025 ICF Code of Ethics and September 2025 ICF Core Competency Model.
• Practice focus during the session occurs for the new sub-competencies in ICF Core Competencies 2, 3, 5, and 7.
• Leave with a personalized Coach Development Plan to guide ongoing growth and integration with your unique expression.

Event will be recorded. This event is highly interactive. As an attendee, you are expected to participate fully and support your colleagues in breakout rooms actively practicing the skills and providing feedback in support of growth. Please register only if you plan to attend and actively participate. Tickets are not refundable in accordance with our event policies.

CCEUs will be sent within 7 – 10 business days to all attendees who participate in most of the event.

In accordance with ICF guidance, in order to receive CCEUs for ICF NYC events, you must attend a minimum of 80% of the event whether virtual or in-person.
CCEU certificates are not awarded for attending less than the 80% threshold or for watching recordings.
