Format:  Virtual - Zoom Meeting

CCEUs: 1.5 CCEUs TBD

Who is this event for: Coaches -- newer coaches looking to expand their skills or any members looking to learn from their peers and interact with members in an evening of learning.

The Event

In this peer resource exchange, four coaches will share one tool or resource they use with their clients regularly and, when possible, they will demonstrate how to use the tool live. Each of the tools presented can be used in 1:1 or group coaching settings. You will also have the opportunity to reflect and discuss how you might bring those tools into your own coaching practice while connecting with fellow coaches.

The presentations will focus on:

Designing Your Life Energy Map - Tanea Flanders, PCC

Generate insights and accelerate transformation for coaching clients seeking ways to feel more energized and engaged with work / life. Explore the Designing Your Life Energy Map to support personal and business coaching clients in identifying and recalibrating the areas of work and life in which they feel most drained or stuck.

Rory’s Cubes Group Coaching Activity - Dominique Mas, PCC

You might have come across Rory’s Cubes, but have you thought about using them in a group coaching session? Dominique will demonstrate how they can help your clients have fun and reframe the story they tell themselves to raise awareness and allow them to move forward.

Mission Statement Tool - Merritt Minnemeyer, PCC

Engage is an exercise Merritt learned during training at iPEC that helps your clients pull out subconscious connections and desires and turn them into actionable plans within minutes.

The Rose-Bud-Thorn Check-in Framework - Marsha Prospere, PCC

Rose, Thorn, Bud is a check-in framework that works in group settings or as a reflection activity. Members share something positive that has happened (rose), challenges or areas for support thorn), and new ideas that are blossoming (bud). Through this check-in, you can see emerging themes or areas to explore.

Note to attendees on tool use and permissions: Tools are presented to give inspiration and new ideas for how you can engage creatively with your clients.  These events are an opportunity for ICF NYC members to learn from each other. The tools shared are a mix of the presenters’ own creation and tools developed by others. Each presenter will share what is permissible as far as re-use and any copyright and citation requirements that must be noted if used by others, in accordance with the ICF Code of Ethics.
