      How to identify the main risks that coaches based on their areas of practice or ways of practice (virtual vs. in person, etc), and how to minimize them through smart strategies and adequate professional liability coverage.

Anand A. Kapasi, Esq.

Anand focuses his practice on the representation of entrepreneurial and domestic businesses ranging from start-ups and non-profits to established businesses and professional practices. In this capacity, he provides practical advice and assistance on issues ranging from corporate and transactional matters to the daily issues faced by businesses today, including dispute resolution, business entity formation, contract negotiations, employment matters and representation in the buying and selling of businesses.

For over 12 years, Anand has worked closely with his clients as a strategic partner in helping them navigate a complex legal landscape to achieve their business objectives. Anand has lectured as a Continuing Legal Education panel member and is licensed to practice law in both New York and New Jersey.

Mike Dercoli began his insurance career in 1981 at the Moore Peterson Agency in Youngstown OH as a commercial property casualty insurance broker in the NE OH and Western PA area. Over the next decade, Mike’s expertise as both a risk manager and insurance broker flourished in his work with manufacturing clients and also in the construction industry.

Mike’s success led him to a promotion as a partner with Moore-Peterson in 1992. In 1995, the agency was acquired by Acordia Insurance, LLC where he was promoted to the Managing Director position of the Acordia insurance office in Youngstown. In 2001, Acordia was sold to Wells Fargo’s insurance division where Mike continued to perform his duties as both an insurance broker and managing director of the Youngstown office. In 2014, Mike received an offer to move to Huntington Insurance to continue his career as a risk manager and insurance broker.

During his time with Wells Fargo Insurance, Mike developed an online professional liability insurance division aka Program Services in 2009. Currently, Mike and his team of insurance professionals, Gina Maher and Sara Sloan, offer professional liability insurance to professionals in 50 states in the U.S. The Coaching profession has become the largest and fastest growing group of professionals for Program Services. Their Westminster Group program is endorsed by the International Coaching Federation.

Sara Sloan, CISR

Sara Sloan began her insurance career in 1995 at Liberty Mutual Insurance Group as a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative. Sara’s knowledge of insurance was broadened as she obtained her Certified Insurance Service Representative designation while working on writing policies for personal lines customers who were moving to a new state or needing an additional line of insurance.

In 2012, Sara was promoted within Liberty Mutual to work as a Quality Assurance Associate within the company where she investigated claims dispute reviews for the customer care team and coached representatives on their service behaviors.

In January of 2017, Sara was hired as a Senior Account Specialist at Huntington Insurance. Here at Huntington, Sara continues to broaden her insurance knowledge by working with Program Services which is Huntington’s online professional/general liability insurance program for coaches. Sara ensures daily that quality and comprehensive policies are being delivered. Sara processes emails and takes phone calls from customers, helping them with policy changes and quoting questions.

Gina Maher

Account Manager 

Gina Maher began her insurance career as an Insurance Customer Service Agent with State Farm Insurance in 1999.  After working a couple of years in Personal Lines Insurance, she took the jump over to Commercial Lines in 2001 at Gallagher Pipino Insurance Agency.  There she quickly learned marketing Commercial accounts and the unique coverages each client needed. 

With greater opportunities to grow in the Commercial field, Gina made the move to Acordia/Wells Fargo at the end of 2001 where she started working with Mike Dercoli.  There she learned not only about client’s property & casualty insurance but also their risk management & surety needs.

Gina continued to work as an insurance Account Manager with Wells Fargo until 2014 when she accepted a position with Huntington Insurance.  At Huntington, Gina continues to broaden her insurance knowledge to meet her clients Commercial Insurance needs.
