ICFLA and ICFNY partner together to create Coach With Pride.  In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, we present a unique Virtual Town Hall meeting introducing the unique challenges and opportunities facing the LGBTQ community, and how coaching can support their progress.

Join moderator Damian Goldvarg along with recognized speakers and presenters to explore these important issues, from both professional and personal points of view: 

  • The landscape of the LGBTQ community and its diverse members
  • How embracing the whole self can have positive impacts on work and life
  • The special needs of this community, its implications for coaching

Meet our speakers

Damian Goldvarg, Ph.D., MCC

Moderator, ICFLA

Damian Goldvarg has thirty years of experience in executive assessment and coaching, leadership development, talent management, facilitation, strategic planning, and team building services.  Originally from Argentina, he has extensive experience working with people from different cultures and social backgrounds. He has worked with individuals and organizations in over 60 countries, including the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia, offering services in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

He is a Master Certified Coach and received his Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Alliant University in California. He is also an Accredited Coach Supervisor (ESIA) and develops and facilitates certifications on Professional Coaching (ACTP), Mentor Coaching and Coaching Supervision virtually worldwide. He was the 2013-2014 ICF Global President.  He published five coaching books, four in Spanish, as well as several papers and book chapters.

Through his work with multinational Fortune 100 companies, governments and community based organizations, Damian’s coaching and consulting services have realized extraordinary results for his clients.  These results enhance productivity and communication, impact the quality of leadership present within these organizations and improve the quality of the work and personal lives of those individuals he coaches and consults.

Damian has a background in business and mental health with areas of expertise in emotional intelligence, communication, delegation, conflict resolution, behavioral interviewing, and 360 feedback.  He is a member of ICF, EMCC, ACTO, Gay Coaching Alliance, National Speakers Association, and Toastmasters International.

Lauren D. Costine, PhD

Speaker

Dr. Lauren Costine is a licensed psychologist, relationship coach, consultant, author, educator, activist, and international speaker. She has dedicated herself to the field of LGBT-Affirmative Psychotherapy and Women’s Empowerment, and is a pioneer in Lesbian-Affirmative Therapy.  She currently sees private clients in Beverly Hills and Woodland Hills, California, and is available for tele-therapy. Her articles have been featured in numerous mental health magazines, and she publishes a monthly written and video blog titled “Dr. Costine’s Commentary”.

Joe Kort, Ph.D.

Speaker

Joe Kort, Ph.D. is a sex and relationship therapist. He specializes in sex therapy, LGBTQ Affirmative Therapy, Imago Relationship Therapy, Out-of-Control Sexual Behaviors (OCSB), Relationship Problems and Marital Conflict, Sex Therapy, and Sexual Identity Concerns, Depression, Anxiety and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He is the author of four books: 10 Smart Things Gay Men Can Do To Improve Their Lives: Revised and Updated; 10 Smart Things Gay Men Can Do To Find Real Love; LGBTQ Clients in Therapy: Clinical Issues and Treatment Strategies and Is My Husband Gay, Straight, or Bi?: A Guide for Women Concerned about Their Men. A regular blogger for Psychology Today, he’s on the teaching faculty of the University of Michigan’s Sexual Health Certificate Program and offers LGBTQIA Affirmative Therapy Certifications to therapists through Modern Sex Therapy Institutes.

Dr. Colleen Bastian

Dr. Colleen Bastian achieves business results through applying psychology principles to support her clients to reach their greatest potential. Colleen is the President of Invoke Leadership, LLC., a south Florida based consulting firm serving global leaders both in small, privately owned organizations to large Fortune 100 corporations. Colleen focuses on increasing leadership capabilities of top talent leaders to perform at their highest level. Colleen is known for holding a reflective space with her clients to increase their self-insight and awareness. Her clients appreciate her unique ability to strike the balance between support and challenge to stimulate their growth and development. Her services include: organizational and executive assessment, leadership and team development and coaching, and customized leadership and diversity & inclusion workshops. She works with leaders in a wide array of industries and levels which include automotive, education, financial services, healthcare, marketing, pharmaceutical, professional services (auditing, tax, advisory), real estate, retail, sales, and technology. Due to her pharmaceutical background, she has extensive experience working with medical and sales professionals.
