IMPORTANT- March 4th Event Canceled: Coaching Women Leaders to Succeed in Business

As a result of if the snowstorm that is expected to start tonight and continue into Monday morning, NYU's campus will be closed March 4th, therefore our event has been canceled. Once we have a new date, we will let you know and will share all the details. All tickets will be reimbursed within the next 72-hours. 


We are sorry about any inconvenience, but your safety is our first priority.

Meet our speakers:

Anna Tavis, PhD, Key Note Speaker. Anna serves as the Academic Director of the Human Capital Program at NYUSPS Division of Programs in Business.  She is a researcher, writer, speaker, global educator and coach focusing on the Future of Work. Her passion is to develop innovative approaches to Talent and Organizations and help discover higher purpose for the next economy. Outside academia, she held senior HR positions at AIG, Motorola, Nokia, and United Technologies, managing teams in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Eurasia.

Yana Blackwelder, Moderator. Yana is an Adjunct Professor at NYU teaching coaching to graduate students pursuing their Human Resource Management degrees and an Executive Coach for the INSEAD Global Leadership Centre. As a leadership coach, Yana works with multinationals corporations globally.  Her work leading Coca Cola HRC Russia’s coaching culture initiative won an Honorable Mention Global ICF Prism Award for best implementation worldwide. Yana serves as the Director of Strategic Partnerships for the ICF NYC Board of Directors. She is currently pursuing her PhD at Tilburg University in the Netherlands where her research focuses on women and leadership.

Tonya Adams, Panelist. Tonya is the Executive Director Business Services Operations at Comcast.  In her role, she manages a 24x7x365 environment comprised of highly technical network engineers and management staff that proactively monitors, troubleshoots and resolve issues for IP transit, carrier Ethernet, cellular backhaul, and wholesale enterprise services throughout the United States. She’s a past recipient of the Women in Cable Television Communicator Award.  

Amy Friedman, Panelist. Amy, CEO and Founder of Partners International, is a leader in the human capital, human resources, talent consulting and development industry. Amy and her former partners founded Partners International, a large-scale boutique firm,and one of the first certified women-owned business.  She knows first-hand the role coaching can play for a female entrepreneur and has delivered coaching programs serving women in organizations world-wide.

Meredith Lubitz, Panelist.  Meredith is a Senior Vice President, Talent Management at Dow Jones.  In her leadership positions, Meredith has led a complete redesign of the Learning and Development strategy for all global employees, and built and managed a broad spectrum of global programs and talent development initiatives.  Meredith also holds certificate in Evidence Based Coaching.

Florina Shutin, Panelist. Florina is the First Vice President –Investments at Wells Fargo. An advisor since 1994, she focuses on providing a wide array of comprehensive wealth management and planning services for high-net worth individuals, families, substantial privately held businesses and corporate clients. She understands the importance of effective communication in creating and maintaining successful client relationships through changes in investment, economic and family lifecycles and dynamics.

Jamie Ramsden, Panelist. Jamie is a Strategic Partner with AIIR consulting. He brings over 20 years of international business experience, including five years as a Chief Executive. As an Executive Coach for over a decade years, he works with C-Suite and EVP-level clients worldwide. Jamie grew up in a country that had a female ruler and a female Prime Minister. His grandmother was the first female Mayor of his hometown in 450 years! His oldest daughter (14) has aspirations to be the first female President, although he hopes it doesn't take that long! He is hoping to shape a world in which his daughter would be judged by her capabilities, intellect and achievements rather than by her gender.
