Message from the Executive Vice President

We hope you are all settling into fall and have said goodbye to summer. I for one like to prolong the hazy, lazy days so I just avoid it as long as possible.

There is so much going on at ICF-NYC. For those of you who couldn’t make it to our October meeting, we had a really great time improvising with Sue Walden. We certainly laughed a lot and learned some different ways of communicating with each other and our clients. This month Luke

Iorio, from IPEC’s Coach Training Program, will deliver another interactive evening that promises to be full of invaluable coaching tools. He is sharing tips from the much raved-about Energy Leadership program. See details below.

And remember that we will not be having a Members' Meeting in December. We also decided that an extravagant holiday party may not be appropriate in light of the current economic situations. So take this time to enjoy your holidays and rest up for 2010. We have some exciting things planned, and we’ll be telling you all about them in the December newsletter.

We are only weeks away from the International Coach Federation's 14th Annual International Conference in Orlando, Florida. Several people from our chapter will be there and we will bring back the highlights. You can read about them in the January newsletter.

Please remember to check our website and your e-mail for the upcoming board elections. We count on your participation in this important process.

Wednesday, 11/18/09, 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Topic: ENERGY LEADERSHIP: Transforming Your Clients from the Core

Presenter: Luke Iorio, PCC, CEC, AELC and President, iPEC's Coach Training Division

Why do certain clients surge forward nearly effortlessly, while others struggle to find their place? The answer: Energy and Engagement. Seven levels of energy determine how your clients see the world and each person in it, including themselves. Now you can influence and inspire them to take powerful, purposeful action and change the way they perceive their circumstances, react during challenges, as well as communicate with and lead others.

Developed from the best-selling, raved-about book Energy Leadership, in this interactive workshop you will learn about:
  • The Results Cycle and Perception Trap
  • The Energy Action Model
  • The 7 Levels of Energy
  • Shifting Your Energy
  • Creating Sustainable Change
Luke Iorio, PCC, CEC, AELC, helps thousands of people each year become coaches by overseeing all aspects of iPEC operations, such as strategic planning, business development, sales management, joint ventures, and creating strategic alliances.
