Summer's coming and we're still revved up. May 20th was the launch of our new ICF-NYC sponsored radio show, Coach Chat. After a fun evening of Points of You, Limor Tamir, the US representative, was the first guest and the show was fantastic. Co-hosts Ilise Ratner and Elizabeth Cassidy did a great job. Please tune in if you can Thursdays at 4pm or listen on our website. This is a venue for coaches to speak their minds, share their genius, and bring light to our admirable profession. Details are on the ICF-NYC website. |

We also have a free webinar with Cheryl Leitschuh, Five Key Tips on Social Networking, on the 24th, and our next meeting will deal with the hot topic of the last couple of years—the brain. Paul McGinniss is going to make it both understandable and fun for all of us with Taming the Animal Brain. And just a reminder: If you haven't renewed your ICF membership, June 1st is the day they officially take you off the membership rolls. You can still renew in order to continue or begin your membership. I hear a rumor that there will be an article from ICF-NYC in the next Coaching World issue—you don't want to miss that. | |

ICF Goes to CAM
Four ICF-NYC Board members attended the Conversations Among Masters Conference in New Mexico this year. We all made some great connections and gained some innovative coaching ideas. In addition we are going to try to encourage some of the speakers at CAM to visit ICF-NYC. All in all, a worthy and rewarding venture. Here are some of our highlights:
Deborah Avery: "Attending CAM 2010 has reinforced many of my core values. The members discussed ideas, not individuals. They challenged us to stretch our ways of thinking, reacting, judging, and being. I left with a feeling of warmth and camaraderie that carried me through the next few days. I'm definitely going back!"
Laurie Lawson: "The keynote speakers were fabulous and the location was spectacular, but as with all coaching get-togethers including our monthly meetings, the true learning experiences came from interacting with other coaches. We are constant reminders of what a noble profession coaching has become."
Paulette Rao: "Conversations Among Masters was a deeply impactful experience for me both personally and professionally. It opened up my thinking in ways I didn't suspect would occur. I found myself moved, surprised, touched, inspired, enlightened, and engaged. I was alternatively moved to tears, learning, or laughing. I cannot wait until next year."
Bernie Siegel: "For me, listening and interacting with Don Miguel Ruiz and his son was the most meaningful event. He spoke of fear, anxiety, and lies as someone knocking at your door. You could choose to not answer it!"
