Saying Farewell to Ira Dressner

Ten years ago Ira Dressner had a vision of an International Coach Federation Chapter in New York City - one with a goal that would bring coaches together in their endeavors to make life-altering changes one person at a time. Eventually that Chapter grew to become a universal example of how a successful organization should operate. It picked up three International awards along the way (two for Community Outreach and one for Public Relations), quadrupled its membership, and made itself known on a global level. All from the vision and determination of one special man. At its meeting on May 20, 2009 ICF-NYC bid a fond farewell to Ira Dressner who will be relocating to Arizona to begin a thriving coach business there. We were fortunate enough to have him as our speaker that night, and after an information-packed presentation on accreditation, President Bernie Siegel presented him with a beautiful plaque that expressed our sentiments and gratitude. Cake and tears and lots of love sent off one of the best friends ICF-NYC ever had. Ira, keep in touch. And if you don't, we have your number!

Now's the time to Link In! Our presenter at the June meeting will be Donna Sweidan, the "LinkedIn Specialist," and she's going to tell us how to use this popular tool for your coaching practice. And if that's not enough, our workshop on July 11, 2009, Create Your Fast-Results Action Plan for the Web, will explore all the other Internet opportunities and help you decide which ones are best for you. Read more about both events below.
