Message from the President

Remember when you were becoming a coach? The experience was overwhelming with new concepts, coaching tools and skills, epiphanies and self-awareness surprises, and the camaraderie of other coaches-to-be going through the same thing. I recall thinking "Wow, I can't wait to share all this with other people!" Recently I sat in on an introductory module with my coaching alma mater and it was such fun to watch potential coaches "get it." Their enthusiasm and excitement were contagious. |

What I realized was that I am very grateful for ICF-NYC. This organization is a fantastic opportunity to continue the solidarity with a very special group of people—coaches. It is a way to meet others who have shared a unique process that widens their horizons and those of their clients, to keep up with the latest trends in the field of coaching, and to just network and have fun with like-minded folks. Coaching is a noble profession and a continuing self-growth experience. ICF-NYC allows you to refresh and renew the original motivation that brought you to coaching. Now is the time to renew your membership or to become a member so that we can spend 2010 together in a shared environment of inspiration and growth. We can start this month. There is a special workshop being offered by Dr. Jeffrey Hull on April 17th. And just in time for Stress Awareness Month, former Board member and newly-published author Zohar Adner will be our speaker for the April 21st meeting. See the details below. Then check out our new monthly article where we feature an ICF coach—In The Spotlight. ICF members interested in being featured should contact Director of Communications Deborah Avery at Deborah@NYExecutiveCoaching.com. | |
