What They Said About Our Last Meeting

There were so many fascinating concepts. I loved the T=C+R+I over S grid shown, these were truly lessons that could be taken and used universally.

The exercises were great - the impact of EQ.

The importance of EQ at work or executive level.

Power of EQ in long-term success.

Must do a better job of controlling emotional responses (i.e. self aware).

Your intentions = your impact.

The presenter was very clear in presenting the info; engaging.

How to effectively be aware of EQ and how to use it personally and professionally.

Charming and effective presenter.

Great presentation!

I think this was great and informative, the presenter was engaging and I learned more than I came in with.

Very knowledgeable presenter.

Excellent.

The Future of Coaching and You

Wednesday, March 21, 6:00pm—8:30pm
(2 CCEU's granted to attendees)

Presenter: Meryl Moritz, MCC

What will the future of coaching look like?

What is the International Coach Federation doing to help mold that future?

What will it mean to you and your personal vision, as a professional coach, and to your clients now and years from now?

Who will each of us need to become to ensure that our field of practice morphs into a true profession, undiluted by low standards, haphazard performance, and reduced to a fad?

This interactive session focused on the new minimum eligibility requirements gives new entrants into the field of coaching the long-term view of how to prepare, and what mindset and skills to develop to align with emerging trends.

It will give the seasoned practitioners a vista into what each can do to help chart the course for the future and contribute best practices and perspectives to support the strategic direction we will collectively take.

You will walk away from this presentation:
  • Seeing a clearer path for yourself and your development as a coach, no matter what level of coaching proficiency you have already attained.
  • Understanding the role you can play in professionalizing our field of practice.
  • (Ideally!) Feeling a resurgence of enthusiasm and energy for how 'playing' at the Chapter level can have impact and influence on the road ahead.
Meryl Moritz, MCC is Vice President of the 2011 Global ICF Board of Directors. She joined the Board as a Director in 2010 after being an ICF member for 15 years. She is also Principal and Founder of Meryl Moritz Resources LLC, Personal Global Positioning Systems for Executive Development.

For the past 17 years, Meryl has coached leaders and their teams in multinational companies, supporting them to increase their own resourcefulness as they work to improve business results. She is also a coach-educator, having taught coaching for five different schools, and has mentor-coached scores of executive coaches internationally. The work has been soul-enriching for her.

Meryl's experience as an entrepreneur was great preparation for developing a coaching practice. In 1986, she founded and led a small consulting firm that conducted opinion, customer satisfaction and market research for major corporations. She learned of the need for something like coaching in 1979 when she was an executive in an international corporation and realized how challenging leadership can be. Meryl is trained as an organizational sociologist and holds the Master of Science degree in that discipline. She completed coach training through Coach U. A staunch believer in upholding standards of professionalism, in 1999, she earned the Master Certified Coach designation from the International Coach Federation (ICF).
