President
Laurie Lawson


Laurie Lawson served as Director of Communications for the ICF-NYC Chapter in 2006/2007 and Vice-President in 2008/2009, as well as a member of the Global ICF Membership & Community Committee in 2009/2010.

She is a writer/reviewer for Electronic Link Journey, an online travel and entertainment magazine, a recognized blogger for Skirt!.com, and a published author. After becoming a Certified Empowerment Coach in 2004, she created Empowered Life Journeys to help people find healthier and happier lives and participated in Fitness Magazine's "You Can Do It Challenge" as a Life Coach on their Panel of Experts. She is Executive Producer of ICF-NYC's Coach World TV and co-host of Coaches on the Edge Blog Talk Radio show. She is also a certified EQ Mentor.

Laurie's philosophy: "Coaching is a very serious business that offers people life-changing experiences but there's no reason you can't have fun doing it!"

Bernie Siegel, PCC


Bernie is an Executive Development/Career Management Coach and Strategist. In addition to his own clients, Bernie is proud to be working as an executive coach with The Ken Blanchard Companies, recognized as one of the top training/executive coaching organizations in the world.

Bernie works with executives and professionals who, while expert at the technical aspects of their jobs, are in need of more effective organizational and leadership skills. He then coaches them to support the learning.

Bernie helps clients in transition overcome job search stress and anxiety by focusing on: creating a distinguishable resume, confidence when interviewing and developing an effective job search plan.

Bernie's clients come to him because of the unique combination of coaching mastery and his over 25 years as a successful executive in the financial services industry. He has been the CFO, COO and CEO of many well known public and private companies such as an EVP and CFO of TD Ameritrade (formerly TD Waterhouse, Inc).

Bernie is an observer and architect of winning behavior and business practices. He willingly shares his secrets of success while supporting the achievement of his client's personally relevant goals. Executive Vice-President
Bonnie Gurwicz


As a coach with over 30 years of success in the business world, Bonnie uses her expertise, experience and extraordinary insight to guide companies interested in enhancing their employees' performance, and individuals seeking personal growth.

Bonnie creates an environment of respect and non judgment, inspiring trust in her clients. It allows them to speak openly and honestly, which is the first step toward reaching their full potential.

Presently, a recognized leader in the visual merchandising field, Bonnie is the former owner and president of a successful design and manufacturing company and served on the Board of Directors of that industry's national association. Bonnie is a graduate of Corporate Coach U (CCUI) and currently serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the New York City chapter of the International Coach Federation.



Vice-President
Terry Yoffe, ACC


Over the past thirteen years, Terry has been mentoring and guiding people with their careers and lives. She is a certified personal and professional development coach (CPCC, PCC) and master level neuro-linguistic program (MNLP) practitioner as well as a member of ICF. Terry currently serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors of the ICF-NYC Chapter. Beyond her professional training and work as a coach, Terry has over 20 years experience as a senior sales and marketing executive in magazine publishing. She is a successful entrepreneur who left the security of the corporate world to start her own firm.



Treasurer
Ilise Ratner


Certified Health Coach, active listener, collaborator, broad-thinker and wellness advocate.

Ilise Ratner helps her clients create healthy relationships with food and be more proactive with their own health. Diagnosed with Celiac Disease, she also coaches/counsels others who are affected, as well as those who are sensitive to gluten and those with other digestive disorders.

For the past 15 years, while living in Boston and NYC, Ilise spent her time relocating corporations nationally. No stranger to relocation herself, she has spent four years living and working in Madrid, Spain and Gothenburg, Sweden. Her love of other people and cultures led her to pursue and receive a Masters degree in Intercultural Relations. Her interest in working directly with people continued with completing her Life Coach certification training with David Rock at Results Coaching Systems.

Living with Celiac Disease has changed the way Ilise lives her life and thinks about her future, both personally and professionally. She took her training a step further by deciding to train with Joshua Rosenthal at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition to become a Certified Holistic Health Counselor. As a result, she is focused on helping her clients make healthy choices, disease prevention, aging actively and general wellness.

Ilise is Treasurer for the International Coach Federation and co-creator of Gluten Free Guide to Metropolitan NY. She is a member of the Gluten Intolerance Group and serves as a healthcare professional for them. Ilise is also board certified with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP).



Director
Deborah Avery


Deborah is the founder and president of New York Executive Coaching, LLC. She has over twenty-five years of experience in law enforcement, mostly at a supervisory level with a specialty in human resources and leadership development. Her intuitive style and ability to strategically think more than a few moves ahead enable her to effectively accelerate the growth and development of her clients and inspires them to do their best.

Deborah works one-on-one or in groups to develop leaders, honing their interpersonal skills so they may obtain optimum results from their teams. Her coaching techniques strip away behaviors that impede the client's ability to reach the success and growth of their dreams.



Director
Paulette Rao


Paulette Rao is an ICF credentialed master certified coach. She is the principal of True North Resources, her leadership coaching firm, and Conscious Coaching Institute which is dedicated to the training and development of coaches. She is also a lead trainer for Results Coaching Systems. Paulette works with leaders to hone the skills they need to improve their performance and the performance of others. Paulette holds a BA in Education and a certificate from the University of North Carolina in Leadership. She is certified by NYU as an Executive Coach where she is adjunct faculty in their coaching certificate program. Paulette is also certified in a neuroscience-based coaching methodology.
